WRC-IYRC event was successfully held!
2018 World Robot Conference was successfully concluded on August 19th at the Beijing International Exhibition Center. Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor Yin Hejun, member of the Party Committee and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xin Guobin, member of the Party Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology, Secretary of the Secretariat Song Jun, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, and Director of the Advisory Committee of the 2018 World Robotics Competition, the leaders and guests attended the closing ceremony.
The current WRC is highly valued by the Party Central Committee, the State Council, and the State Ministry. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended and spoke. Cai Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee, Wan Gang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony.
Liu He pointed out at the opening ceremony that robots are one of the most important areas of current technological change and will have a profound impact on the industry, production and lifestyles of human society. At present, the development of robotics industry is obviously accelerated. Robots are highly integrated with the information technology, the application range is also expanding, makes cooperation between international company getting closer. He stressed that it is necessary to strengthen robotic by education.
To cultivate more talents for the development of the robot field, and strive to improve the level of national education and adapt to the new requirements of the robot era, should actively carry out international cooperation, work with countries around the world to address many common challenges and promote the building of a community of human future.
2018 World Robot Conference was hosted by the China Electronics Society, co-organized by International Youth Robot Competition Committee (IYRA), China Organizing Committee, MRT International (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and supported by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Association and the Shenzhen Robotics Association. The IYRC competition for the Youth Design Competition also ended successfully. Member of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Science and Technology Association, Mr. Zhang Zhiping, Vice Chairman of the Association, Assistant Dean of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr. Bi Yalei, Secretary General of Shenzhen Robotics Association, Mr. Song Minshuo, Chief of Korea Robot Industry Promotion Institute, Head of Education Department of Uzbekistan Mr.Tursunov Isfandiyor, Thailand ICT Association representative Miss. Kalaya Swanghaboon and other domestic and international leaders and IYRA International Organizing Committee, IYRA China Organizing Committee and key members of MRT International attended the opening ceremony too.
The competition brought together nearly 1000 people from 17 countries to participate, including nearly 300 foreign participants. This is one of the largest number of participating countries in the World Robotics Competition. There were many categories such as 2018WRCC-STEAM mission, 2018WRCC-Fire Fighting Robot Mission, 2018WRCC-Humanoid Robot Mission, 2018WRCC-Robot Soccer, 2018WRCC-Wonder Strike, 2018WRCC-King of The Ring, etc. Participants competed with each other for the 8 champions, 8 runners-up, 8 runner-ups and 90 excellent awards.

Background of IYRC
The International Youth Robot Competition (IYRC) was established in August 2013 and is an international non-profit organization legally filed by My Robot Time (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. at the United Nations (UN). By 2018, members have achieved more than 40 countries and regions including China, South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, and Israel, including nearly half of the countries along the “The Belt and Road Initiative or the Silk Road Economic Belt”, have a very high reputation in the countries along the “Belt and Road”.
Every year, IYRA chooses one country to host an international robotic event among the member country, and invites all members to send their outstanding teams to participate in the competition. It provides a platform for competitive and learning opportunities for young people who like to build robots, like programming and interested in artificial intelligence. At the same time, the event also opens to the global robotics companies, practitioners to brainstorm ideas, release new products, business negotiation platform, and promote international technology, education, cultural exchanges and cooperation.
Since its establishment five years ago, IYRA has organized more than 100 events in and out of the country. It has achieved overwhelming responses by young people around the world and has gradually become the most internationally influential robotic event and business communication platform. In 2018, IYRC entered into a strategic partnership with the World Robotics Congress (WRC) as one of the WRC’s exciting event units.
Instead of having competition, My Robot Time International brought many new products to the exhibition. Mr. Zhang Zhiping, member of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Science and Technology Association came to visit the booth of My Robot Time International at the World Robotics Exhibition Hall. The booth received high degree of attention from public. In the past few days, our booth always surrounded by the crowd, making it the most popular booth at this exhibition!
